ALERT: Trees down across Louth due to Story Éowyn

A large number of trees have been knocked down by Storm Éowyn across Louth.

Several trees are down on the R174, Rockmarshall to Jenkinstown while trees have also fallen at Gyles Quay, according to Louth County Council.

The Gardai have also reported fallen trees at Mounthamilton in Dudnalk and there is a fallen tree blocking the road between Stepehnstown Pond and Knockbridge

Trees are also down at the following locations according to Louth County Council on X

Ardee Road, Reaghstown

Doylesfort Grove, Dundalk

Outside Cooley Distillery

Carrickrobin, Kilkerley

Carrickmacross Road, Dundalk

Gaultrimsland, Riverstown

The R178 between Shannon Road and Ballykelly

Skyhill, Kilcurry

Louth County Council on X said: "A reminder that our emergency crews will only be able to attend to situations whenever it is safe for them to do so."
