Cllr Dolores Minogue has welcomed the news that environmental group, Friends of Ardee Bog, has been refused the leave to appeal the High Court's decision, to refuse the application for a judicial review in relation to the Ardee bypass.

The Ardee Fine Gael councillor said Ms Justice Miriam O'Regan's judgement on 5 November is “a significant step forward for our town and the entire region.

“The refusal of the appeal clears the way for progress on the much-needed Ardee bypass, which will alleviate traffic congestion, improve road safety, and support local businesses and residents alike.”

Cllr Minogue went on to say that “I have been actively involved in the campaign for this vital infrastructure project”, and that the “ruling is a positive outcome for everyone in Ardee and beyond.

“We can now look forward to the completion of the bypass and the long-term benefits it will bring to our community."
