This week's Dundalk Democrat is in shops now, including:

  • On Friday, students from Dundalk Grammar School gathered once again outside the front gates in protest of what they say is the school’s decision to ban Gaelic football.
  • Louth commercial rates could see a hike this year after Louth councillors voted against a 15% increase in the Local Property Tax (LPT) rate at a special meeting in the County Hall last Tuesday evening.
  • Louth County Council said that it has formally written to Uisce Éireann in relation to its “grave concerns” over a number of pumping station and wastewater treatment issues, councillors were informed at the Dundalk Municipal District October meeting.
