Louth branch of MS Ireland to celebrate World MS Day

There are 10,000 people in Ireland living with Multiple Sclerosis.

The Louth branch of MS Ireland is to celebrate World MS Day on 30th May.

To mark world MS day this year their annual Vintage Car Show will be held in the Parish Centre in Ardee on Saturday 1st June.

The display of classic and vintage cars is a real treat for car enthusiasts and is a vital means of support for the Louth Voluntary Branch of MS Ireland.

There are 10,000 people in Ireland living with Multiple Sclerosis. The North East Area of Louth Meath Cavan and Monaghan supports almost 700 people.

The Louth branch has almost 300 members who are offered classes and programs both online and in- person.

These supports include physiotherapy, mindfulness, and yoga. There are online programs for newly diagnosed, and up to date medical interventions.

They offer comprehensive information on financial supports and other services for people with disabilities.

One of the most important aspects of membership of the Louth Branch of MS-Ireland is the peer support through or meetings and social gatherings.

A spokesperson for the Louth branch said: “The MS community greatly appreciates the support from our families, friends and carers. We are thankful for the generosity of people who support our fundraising activities and help us to continue living with Multiple Sclerosis.”
