Thousands of people lined the streets of Dundalk to welcome US President Joe Biden to the town.
The cold and rain didn't dampen the carnival like atmosphere as families waved US flags while excitingly waiting for the president to arrive.
As the presidential motorcade stopped outside McAteers The Food Hall on Clanbrassil Steet the crowd erupted into loud cheers and waved at President Biden.
There was a sea of mobile phones held in the air as people desperately tried to get a video or photo of the US president as he stepped out onto the street of our town.
President Biden chatted to the crowd and spent some time shaking hands to people's delight.
He happily posed for photographs and even took selfies with kids in the crowd.
After spending some time being greeted by the gathered people he went into The Food House where he spent around 25 minutes speaking to staff before his motorcade continued their journey through the town.
People lined along the street cheered and waved as he passed on his way to the Windsor Bar and Restaurant.
