The question in senior is not so much who’ll win, as, can St Patrick’s be beaten. Winners of five of the last 10 renewals, the Pairc Eamoin side have still lots to aim for – like, a three in-a-row, which has been achieved only twice before, by Newtown Blues and Cooley Kickhams.
Pat’s are drawn in the toughest league section. They should come through, nonetheless, and go on from there to complete the three-timer.
Senior league form suggests Sean O’Mahony’s will be hard to beat in intermediate, but keep an eye out for St Bride’s and Geraldines. Oliver Plunkets, struggling in the senior league, can turn their season around by winning the junior.
