New application for development at former Carroll Village Shopping Centre in Dundalk

A new application has been lodged with Louth County Council, seeking planning permission for a development at the former Carroll Village Shopping Centre in Dundalk.

Aviva Life and Pensions Ireland DAC has applied to the local authority for planning permission for the partial demolition of the existing shopping centre building and the construction of a new four storey Primary Care Centre.

The planning application provides for a General Practitioners Surgery, Pharmacy Unit and HSE accommodation, as well as an external plant area, relocation of existing site access, and car parking and set down area,

This is the third planning application lodged with Louth County Council for this development, with two previous applications being deemed invalid. A decision is due on this application by 31 January 2023 with submissions due by 10 January 2023.
