The death has occurred of James (Fintan) Murphy of Ard Guaire, Gort, Co. Galway and late of Dundalk, Co. Louth

Peacefully on 11 May 2022, in the tender loving care of the staff of The Galway Hospice Foundation. Predeceased by his beloved mother and father. Sadly missed by his brothers, aunt Noreen (U.K), uncle, cousins, relatives, neighbours, and his many friends in Gort and Dundalk.

James’s Requiem Mass will take place in St. Colman’s church Gort on Thursday May 12 at 1.30pm. The funeral cortege will arrive at 1.15 pm approx. James will be laid to rest afterwards in St. Colman’s cemetery Gort. Flowers welcome or donations in lieu can be made to the Galway Hospice Foundation. 

James’s family and friends would like to thank the following people who helped and cared for him during his illness, the palliative care team and the Galway Hospice Foundation, Gort cancer support, Dr. Crea Gallagher, district nurse, his home care team, neighbours and all who helped and cared for James.

The death has occurred of Ann McCourt (née Gorman) of Gort Na Glaise, Blackrock and formerly of Lennon-Melia Terrace, Dundalk, Louth

Peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Predeceased by her parents Joe and Eileen, brothers Martin, Johnny, Peter, Joe, Dessie and Paul. She will be sadly missed by her partner Stephen McDowell, sons Paul, Padráig, Seán and Andrew, daughter Faith and their dad Paul, brother Lenny, sisters Rose and Bridgie, daughters in-law Elaine and Laura, son in-law Martin, great-granddaughter Ava, nephews, nieces, extended family relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Shevlin's Funeral Home, Barrack Street from 12 noon on Saturday with funeral prayers at 3pm followed by Cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.
