70 litter enforcement fines issued in Louth in first two month of 2022
70 litter fines have been issued in the first two months of this year, according to Louth County Council, with 25 issued in February.
Of the fines issued in February, 12 were issued in the Dundalk urban area, seven in the Drogheda urban area and six in the remaining county wide area. In January 45 fines were issued in the county - five in Dundalk, 22 in Drogheda and 18 in the remaining county wide area. One fine was issued in January and one in February for dog fouling.
Louth County Council say that there have been 358 litter enforcement investigations in the year to date with 181 carried out in the month of February.
