Rememberance ceremony in Dundalk today for residents who passed away in nursing homes
A ceremony is being held at the Market Square in Dundalk at 2pm today, to remember residents who passed away in nursing homes and care settings.
The event is being organised by a Care Champions, a group which describes itself as a "family run advocacy group, for all people who need care support in the community". On the groups Facebook page it says they are "also campaigning for residents and their families in care homes. We believe peoples human rights must be restored to them."
Today's event will see families of residents who passed away in nursing homes and care settings, gather to hold a candle lighting ceremony. The event will be livestreamed on the group's Facebook page: facebook.com/carechampionsireland
