The retitement of Mr Frank Pentony, Director of Planning Infrastructure and Economic Development, with Louth County Council was marked at the Dundalk Civic Awards ceremony, held in the County Hall last Tuesday night.
Cathaoirleach of Dundalk Municipal District, Cllr Maria Doyle, made a presentation on behalf of Dundalk Municipal District to Mr Pentony on the night.
Mr Pentony is retiring after 46 years of public service, which began in 1977 when he moved to Dundalk to work in Louth VEC.
He attended his final county council meeting in February, where he received congratulations and best wishes for his retirement from many at the meeting.
