Mannan Castle Golf Notes: Spring League 2022 gets underway

We have two weeks over us already in the 2022 Spring League. The league will run over eight weeks and your best five cards count towards your overall score.

We are getting great numbers playing so let’s keep that up and if any of your mates who aren’t playing because of the coldish weather at the minute, tell them Kevin has some lovely mitts and hats they can buy in the Pro shop.

Weekend 1 Winners: Div 1 - Daire Martin (PH 12) 29 pts, Div 2 - Fergal Brady (PH 17) 29 pts, Div 3 - Robert O Connell (PH 27) 32 pts.

Weekend 2 Winners: Div 1 - Patrick Hoey (PH 13) 31 pts, Div 2 - Fergal Brady (PH 17) 31 pts, Div 3 - Steven Taylor (PH 20) 32 pts.

Another day of brilliant winter sun for the final Pre-Spring League Ladies Competition. Jo Morris swept away the rest of the field scoring 31 points in a round that included four pars and not one but two birdies, on the 9th and the 17th.  

Aine Fitzmaurice took second place with a splendid 29 points, and Loraine Delkos clocked up 25 points to take third place.  

The Ladies SPRING LEAGUE starts this week. It's not too late to sign up and participate if you've not already done so. Everyone is welcome and can pay in the Pro Shop. Information is available on the noticeboard or by contacting a committee member.

Pre-Spring League 13 Hole Competition 19th January 2022: 1st Jo Morris (PH19) 31 pts, 2nd Aine Fitzmaurice (PH36) 29 pts, 3rd Loraine Delkos (PH14) 25 pts.
