Caused criminal damage during Dundalk burglary

A 44 year old man who caused criminal damage during a burglary in Dundalk was last week sentenced to 220 hours community at Dundalk district court instead of a four month jail term.

Andrew Keenan with an address at St. Laurence’s Street in Drogheda, was before the court for an offence at Dunne’s House of Fireplaces, Ecco Road, Dundalk on November sixth 2016.

The court heard last Wednesday that the defendant had not come to garda attention since.

Judge Eirinn McKiernan was told that €600 in compensation had already been paid and the balance in compensation - a further €400 was in court.
