Dundalk Dog Rescue's 100K Dog Walk Challenge

Dundalk Dog Rescue are delighted to launch a new initiative to help keep you and your dog fit and healthy.

The 100k dog walk challenge is asking participants to walk 100 kilometers during the month of April.

The successful format has been used by running and walking groups in the past and now DDR are asking you to get your dogs on board too.

Signing up allows you to join an online community who will support you and keep you motivated throughout the challenge. There will be helpful tips and route ideas added regularly and members will add their own updates and suggestions too.

The first 50 people to register will receive a free 100k Dog Walk T-Shirt and dog bandana. Following on from where Operation Transformation left off, this is an excellent opportunity to get fit and healthy for summer while having fun, not to mention the benefit to your four-legged friends.

The challenge is for people of all ages and of course, those who feel the 100k is too much for them are invited to set their own personal target and take place anyway.

Dogs are not essential and can be swapped for a buggy, a friend, kids on bikes or anything else. Solo entrants are also more than welcome. Early bird entry is €25. To sign up or find out more head to www.100kdogwalk.com or check out Facebook or Instagram /100kdogwalk.
