Forrester's Hall transferred to Dundalk Credit Union
The CEO of Dundalk Credit Union Mr Billy Doyle has welcomed the decision of Louth County Council at its meeting today, 17th December 2018, to transfer Forrester’s Hall to Dundalk Credit Union on a long term lease.
“On behalf of the growing membership of Dundalk Credit Union I want to say a huge thank you to Louth County Council for voting to transfer Forrester’s Hall to Dundalk Credit Union. With the addition of this iconic building Dundalk Credit Union can now plan to broaden and deepen the positive community and economic impact which Dundalk Credit Union has had on Dundalk and the North East over many years. We look forward to restoring Forrester’s Hall to its former glory and integrating it within a revamped and extended Credit Union building in Market Street.”
The transfer of Forrester’s Hall will further support the role out of Dundalk Credit Union’s 2021 Strategic plan which sees a doubling in the size of Dundalk Credit Union’s lending operations; a broadening in the range of member services; a total revamp of its digital and on-line presence along with the continued expansion of its much lauded role in supporting the community and local economy of Dundalk and the North east.
The Transfer of Forrester’s Hall comes shortly after the members of Lordship Credit Union overwhelmingly voted to transfer their Credit Union into Dundalk Credit Union, Market Street. Billy Doyle added that:

We head into 2019 with confidence and excitement at the opportunities that now exist for Dundalk Credit Union to build on the success that the vision and confidence of our founding members has delivered over the past 50 years.”
