A 22 year man accused of sexually assaulting a female, is to contest the case, Dundalk district court was told last week.
The Defence solicitor confirmed his instructions after Sgt. Fintan McGroder informed Judge John Cheatle that the DPP had directed that the case should only be heard in the district court on a guilty plea only.
The offence is alleged to have occurred at a location in County Louth on the 24th of June last year.
The case was adjourned to the sixth of March next so a book of evidence can be prepared.
