A man accused of ten counts of deception causing loss to Sky Ireland, is alleged to have acquired almost €8,800 worth of goods from the TV giant by setting up a number of accounts.
Tatula De Profeta with an address at Seatown Place, Dundalk is charged with dishonestly by deception, inducing the broadband and satellite TV provider to supply goods with the intention of making gain or causing loss on dates between the 20th of April 2017 and June third last.
The court heard the case allegedly involves 13 televisions, 19 Sky Q-boxes, 10 Sky mini-boxes and two laptops.
After he was told the DPP has directed summary disposal - on a guilty plea only, Judge John Cheatle put back the case to the 20th of February.
That means if the case is contested it will be heard at Circuit Court level.
