The DPP has directed that a 46 year old man accused of having over €2,300 worth of diamorphine for sale or supply, should only have his case dealt with a district court level, if he enters a guilty plea, Judge John Coughlan was told last week.
After an outline of the allegations against Micheal Kerr of Garrybawn, Tom Bellew Avenue, Judge Coughlan refused jurisdiction, which means the matter will now be sent forward to the Circuit Court.
The case was adjourned to the 20th of February.
