Following an appeal made by Superintendent Treanor this morning, a woman has made contact with An Garda Síochána in relation to the fatal traffic collision that occurred on Wednesday 28th November, 2018 in Castleblaney, Co. Monaghan. 

Gardaí wish to renew their appeal for any witnesses that may have been in the vicinity of Main St, Castleblaney between 11.15pm and 11.45pm on 27th November, 2018 and are asked to contact Carrickmacross Garda Station on 042 9690190, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.

A 34 year old man who was arrested at the scene remains in custody at Carrickmacross Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
