Louth GAA club pen tribute following passing of player Diarmuid Mac Artain
Local GAA club St Patrick's GFC have posted a tribute on their Facebook page to their player, coach and mentor Diarmuid MacArtain, who passed away today.
"It is with great sadness we learned of the untimely death of St Patrick’s G.F.C. player, coach and mentor Diarmuid Mac Artain Jnr.
"Diarmuid played at all levels with the club both at underage and adult level achieving many accolades along the way.
"He was a club coach at various age levels both boys and girls. He was an expert fitness instructer and many St Pat's players reaped the benefit of his expertise.
"We extend our sincere sympathies to his parents Diarmuid and Kathleen, his sisters Jenna, Aoibheann, Orna and Eimear, to his girlfriend Rebecca, to his grandparents, his uncles , aunts, cousins and the whole family circle.
"Ar dheis De go raibh ar a ainm."
Reposing at his residence, Gyles Quay, Riverstown, from 6pm tomorrow, Saturday evening, and from 2pm on Sunday. House private on Monday morning please. Removal on Monday morning to St. Mary's Church, Lordship arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in Lordship Cemetery.
