Dundalk woman accused of threatening to 'stick' security guard has case returned to Circuit Court for trial

A 29 year old woman accused of threatening to 'stick' a Dunnes Stores security guard with a syringe, was formally returned for trial in the Circuit Court, at Dundalk district court last Wednesday.

Amy Reenan of Castle Park, Castletown Road, Dundalk is charged with threatening to injure the man with a syringe with the intention of, or where there is a likelihood of causing him to believe that he may become infected with disease as a result of the injury threatened, at Aghameen Park, Dundalk on April 17th last year.

She is also charged with the theft of a one litre bottle of vodka at Dunnes Stores, Muirhevnamor and with allegedly having with her a used hypodermic needed with the intention to cause injury or intimidate another person.

Judge John Coughlan sent her forward for trial to the current Circuit Court sitting on Tuesday.
