Alleged stabbing case in Dundalk struck out

A 31 year old man charged in connection with an alleged stabbing in Dundalk, has had the case against him struck out after the complainant in the case withdrew his allegation.

Glen Reenan with an address at Meadowgrove, Dundalk had been charged with assault causing harm at Meadowgrove on August 21st last.

Strict bail conditions -including a curfew, had been imposed following his initial court appearance two days after the alleged incident.

However, when the case was called at Dundalk district court last Wednesday the man in his 30s who had made the complaint to gardaí informed Judge John Coughlan he wished to withdraw it.
