The car was parked in Lidl, on the Avenue Road in Dundalk
A sum of money was stolen from a car parked at Lidl on the Avenue Road on Friday 17th August.
Speaking exclusively to the Dundalk Democrat, Dundalk Gardai said the car owner returned to their vehicle after shopping to find that the right-hand-side window had been smashed.
An amount of money, which the car owner had just withdrawn from the bank and had placed in the glove compartment, had been stolen from the car.
A spokesperson for Dundalk Gardai warned Louth motorists to not leave valuable items such as handbags, electronics, or sums of cash in unattended cars.
