Construction work begins on Wasdell plant in Dundalk
A new Dundalk facility, which will house pharma company Wasdell, has begun construction at its 70,000 sq. ft. greenfield building on a nearly 3 hectare site at the IDA’s site in Mullagharlin.
The new facility represents an investment of €30m in the area, along with 300 jobs.
Wasdell, which provides pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries with solutions to outsourcing needs, is to open the hub in Dundalk for servicing the European market post-Brexit.
Wasdell was established in 1971, and has multiple sites in the United Kingdom employing over 500 people.
The group offers an impressive range of technical, manufacturing, packaging and storage/distribution services.
