In what is one of the biggest illegal dumpings of tyres yet, hundreds of tyres have been left close to the old customs weighbridge on the busy Dundalk to Newry dual carraigeway.
Local cllr Antoin Watters said it was a haul similar in size to the one discovered near Turf Mountain at Edentubber earlier this year.
