LOUTH WEATHER: 'Not all bad news' for the weekend.
Despite the grey skies and showers, according to local weather expert Louth Weather, the weekend might serve up some decent spells of sunshine all the same.
"The rain is making progress east, though at a very slow rate. It will reach all areas in the early today and continue through to late afternoon. These conditions often lead to the development of squall lines and short bursts of heavy rain and first winds. Max a cool 12°C.
"Showers for the weekend, these most frequent in the afternoons. It'll be cooler than average. However it's not all bad news, as there will be some good dry sunny periods too and indeed some may get lucky and miss the showers altogether."
