Bake Sale

St Vincent's are holding a bake sale this Friday

St Vincent's secondary school will be holding a bake sale and raffle on Friday the 9th of March - and it will be open to the general public.

This event will be held in the assembly hall of the school from 10am to 4pm and be run by St Vincents' school student council, two 2nd year classes and two past pupils.

All funds raised from the event will go towards funds for charitable projects that two past pupils are taking part in in Uganda and India.

The two former St Vincent's pupils Annabelle and Aoife are currently studying physiotherapy at UCD.

They have volunteered with an overseas project in Uganda and India where they will be working mostly with children with Cerebral Palsy and Muscular Dystrophy.

All funds raised will go towards equipment and resources such as prostheses, walking aids and specialized seating and a two-week Cerebral Palsy rehabilitation camp in Uganda.

In this camp children with this disease, their carers and family are housed and educated on the importance of exercise.

This sharing of skills between patients, families, carers and other healthcare professionals such as doctors and nurses allows for vital information to be shared.
