Louth Weather has given an update on the current situation in the county as Storm Emma is due to hit fully later tonight.
"The latest radar image shows the main area of heavy snow developing along the west coast of Wales. I'm expecting this to move WNW i.e. roughly where I've placed the arrows.
It is running late! It will be close to midnight by the time it reaches the Louth coast.
"Note that by my predictions it shaves the north of Co Louth. While I don't expect it to, any move south will obviously have a big effect on snowfall totals. A shift slightly north is the most likely outcome.
"I'll update again around midnight."
