A wave surge warning has been issued for Dundalk and Blackrock this Friday and Saturday.

A wave surge warning has been issued for Dundalk and Blackrock this Friday and Saturday. 

The Office of Public Works has predicted that we could see waves of up to three metres  high and Met Eireann are warning there are risks of coastal flooding across the country. 

The warning is in place from 9am and 12:30pm on Friday and from 8.30am and 1:30pm on Saturday. 

Forecasters are predicting the nation is to be hit with blizzard-like conditions with zero visibility later tonight which will extend countrywide.

Heavier snow expected in from the south east with thunderstorms and hail over Munster and south Leinster.

Met Eireann is also warning that there will be gale force winds with risk of coastal flooding expected.
