Crime roundup: Burglars target three Carlingford homes in one night

Two men aged 22 and 17-years-old have been arrested in relation to the burglaries

Three Carlingford homes were targeted by burglars in the early hours of Thursday 22nd of February.

The homes were ransacked between the hours of 10:30pm and 2:30am. 

Cash, cigarettes, a mobile phone, car keys and electrical equipment including a TV were stolen from the first home.

At the second property, the two thieves were disturbed by the homeowner and subsequently left the home empty-handed.

During the third burglary, the thieves stole car keys through a letterbox and took the property owners car.

Two men aged 22 and 17-years-old have been arrested in relation to the burglaries.

Gardai say the two youths are due to appear in the Central Criminal Court in Dublin.

Electric Toothbrushes Stolen 


Thieves made away with cosmetic products and a number of electric toothbrushes from a dental practice in Carrick during a break in on Tuesday 20th February.

Gardai have warned the people in the area to be aware of the sale of the electric toothbrushes “under suspicious circumstances”.
