Woman accused of serious assault in Carlingford to have case heard at Dundalk Circuit Court

A 38 year old Dublin woman accused of seriously assaulting another woman in Carlingford, is to have her case dealt with at Dundalk Circuit Court.

Deborah Donovan of Church Gardens, Rathmines, Dublin 6 is charged with assault causing harm, and with assaulting a second person, at Taaffe's Bar, Newry Street, Carlingford on April 2nd last year.

After seeing the complainant - who was allegedly seriously injured, and examining alleged scarring, Judge John Coughlan refused jurisdiction which means the case will not be heard at district court level.

Judge Coughlan adjourned the matter to the 20th of June for the preparation of a book of evidence.
