50 tyres were dumped on Tuesday night

The find at Feede Woods occured between 7.30pm and 11.30pm on Tuesday night, LMFM report.

Garda officers from Dundalk Garda Station are investigating and are asking anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious to contact them on 042 9388400.

Alternatively, they can contact Dromad Gardai on 041 935 8680.

Speaking to the Dundalk Democrat on Monday, after a large tyre dump was disovered at Edentubber, Sinn Fein councillor Antoin Watters said, "It's becoming a weekly pilgrimage for me heading to Edentubber to see more tyre dumps.

"There is definitely a problem with illegal dumping in Louth."
