Sinn Fein councillor Anne Campbell
Anne Campbell has been selected to join the Dublin North East Regional Health Forum, replacing outgoing councillor Tomás Sharkey.
Last month, Sinn Fein councillor Sharkey advised the HSE of his resignation from the forum – on which four Louth County Councillors sit. Sharkey was last month appointed as Chairman of the Louth Meath Education and Training Board.
With a vacancy to fill, his party colleague Cllr Campbell was selected at Monday’s Louth County Council meeting at County Hall.
The former Dundalk Democrat journalist was co-opted onto the council as a representative of Dundalk South last August after Cllr Jennifer Green stood down to concentrate on her family.
Cllr Campbell joins Cllrs Mark Dearey (Green Party), Richie Culhane (Fine Gael) and Tommy Byrne (Fianna Fail) on the 29-representative Dublin North East Regional Health Forum.
The Fora make representations to the HSE on the range and operation of health and personal social services in their area.
