MORE toxic diesel sludge dumped on outskirts of Dundalk

The continuing increase in incidents of toxic diesel sludge dumping shows no sign of abating, with another incident confirmed by Louth County Council this morning.

6 IBC's of diesel sludge were found on Captains Road in Kilcurry this morning.

According to the council a disposal contractor is in attendance.

So far this year 81 diesel sludge containers have been dumped on roads in the county.

Last year it cost the taxpayer €153,238 to dispose of IBCs, and that figure will no doubt increase drastically this year.
