Dundalk schools pushing campaign to have kids in school on time
“Be on time, be in the line” is a new school initiative being used in both Castletown Girls’ School and De La Salle Boys’ Primary School in Dundalk to promote better punctuality.
At present both schools have very good attendance averaging approximately 95%, however some pupils are struggling to get to school every morning on time.
The Home School Liaison teacher Mrs Yvonne Gallagher who has organised the campaign has reported that after only two weeks, improvements have already been made.
The weekly class prizes are a great incentive for all the children to be at school on time. The “Be on time, be in the line” campaign will run for the month of February.
