Outrage at 'third world' street in Dundalk housing estate

The pot-holed state of the road in Willow Grove off the Carrick Road in Dundalk has been called a "disgrace" by one resident.

On a Facebook post this afternoon Darren Murphy called for more to be done to fix the road.

"More needs to be done than talk about the problem the picture posted is a pot hole outside my drive way - you can’t avoid going into it out of my drive.

"The housing estate is like a ghost town. No kids can play on their bikes because of the state of the roads. Cars drive on the wrong side of the road to avoid the pot holes and the foot paths are no different.

"It really feels like a third world street. I’m sure if any councillors lived here, the remedial works would be carried out.

"It’s a total disgrace the state this street is in. We were promised so much during the elections but then ignored."
