Water supply disruption hits Blackrock and surrounding areas

Water outages are being experienced in Blackrock today

Irish Water now say that repair works - affecting water supply in the Sandy Landy and Blackrock areas of Dundalk today (Thursday) - will not be finished until Friday afternoon.

Locals have reported disruptions to the water supply in the area throughout Thursday due to previously announced valve repair works being carried out.

However, despite Irish Water saying the work would be completed by 5pm today, they now say work will not be carried out until Friday. They say work will be carried out between 9am and 5pm.

The areas affected are Sandy Lane, The Rock Road, Beech Park, Hamilton Avenue, Beaupark, The Loakers, Birch's Lane, Sandfield Gardens, Marlmount, Church Park, Elm Park, Blackrock and surrounding areas in Co. Louth.

A traffic management system will be in place for the duration of the works.
