The Spirit Store

The Spirit Store has been shortlisted for an IMRO Rest of Leinster Live Music Venue of the Year 2017 award.

The much-loved Dundalk venue is in good company. Only 4 other venues where chosen from around the country - Wexford Arts Centre, The Set Theatre, Kilkenny, Seven Oaks Hotel, Carlow and the TLT Theatre in Drogheda, Co. Louth.

Vantastival, which used to take place in Bellurgan Park but is now held in Beaulieu House, Drogheda, was also nominated in the IMRO Small Music Festival of the Year 2017 category.

The tenth Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO) Live Music Venue of the Year Awards will take place on Tuesday 20th February 2018 at IMRO HQ in Dublin.

The annual awards celebrate the dedication and passion of those who work in Ireland’s live music venues, providing the public with an exceptional live music experience on a weekly basis.

More than 11,500 IMRO members considered hundreds of venues across the country for the shortlist.

Venues were judged on their commitment to providing the core elements that make for a great live music venue – atmosphere, sound and lighting, staging, diversity of programming and importantly, the staff and management of each venue.

IMRO members also voted on Ireland’s music festivals, delivering a shortlist of their top ten festivals.

If you would like to vote log on to www.surveymonkey.com/r/imrovenueawards and vote before February 16th. One lucky voter will win an iPad.

The Spirit Store was named as one of the Guardian's best small music venues in the world list in 2010.
