Seanchaí Eddie Lenihan to return to Dundalk Gaol
Those who like to hear a good yarn, will be glad to hear that Ireland's greatest storyteller Eddie Lenihan is on the way back to Dundalk. Lenihan will make a welcome return to The Oriel Centre, Dundalk Gaol with more Tales of Magic, Myth and Mystery on Saturday 17th February.
The man is a living legend to all who remember being entranced by his 'Ten Minute Tales' which were broadcast on RTE television and BBC in the late 1980's.
Eddie is one of the few practising Seanchaí remaining in Ireland and is particularly well known for his tales of Irish folk heroes, fairies, fallen angels and other supernatural beings as recorded in Irish mythology, folklore and oral history.
The last time Eddie Lenihan brought his Tales of Magic, Myth and Mystery to the Oriel Centre it quickly sold out so early booking is advised. He will be sharing tales of Cú Chulainn that have rarely been told before so if you love tales of the Tain this night is a must.
Tickets at €15 are available from The Oriel Centre on 042 9328887 or www.orielcentre.ie
