Anne Campbell shows how to use the giving tree to donate to Women's Aid

Louth Sinn Fein Councillor Anne Campbell has posted a video on Facebook showing how you can help women affected by domestic violence this Christmas.

In the video, which has had over 1,400 views, the local  councillor  explains how people can make donations to Women's Aid Dundalk via a giving tree.

If you would like to make a donation simply visit the tree in The Long Walk Shopping Centre, and take a tag off the branches.

Each tag has a list of practical items that users of Women's Aid Dundalk need.

As Anne explains, once you gather the items you then attach the tag and place them in the box beside the tree.

It's an idea local people are getting behind. One commenter on the video wrote:

"Great Idea Anne, thank you for highlighting this. I will call  into   Longwalk  this week."

Another wrote: "Brilliant idea Anne and indeed a very worthy cause."
