Priest named as N2 Carrickmacross crash victim

THE 70-year-old man who died in a crash near McCaughey’s filling station has been named as Fr Joe McCluskey.

The popular priest died in a fatal crash on the N2 between Castleblaney and Carrickmacross yesterday.

The crash, which happened shortly before 5pm, saw a car and articulated lorry collide near McCaughey’s filling station.
A mass was held at St Enda's Church, Killanny at 9.20am earlier this morning.
