Santa Claus coming to Stephenstown Pond in Knockbridge
Santa Claus will arrive at Stephenstown Pond (Knockbridge) on Saturday December 9th at 11am accompanied by his good lady "Mrs Claus" herself to keep the BIG MAN on his toes and to make sure he gets all the girls and boys names right for his arrival at their houses on Christmas Eve.
Santa will be in his cave at "The Dairy Maid Coffee Shop" at Stephenstown Pond from 11am on Saturday 9th December to 4.30pm that evening when he will depart to start getting all the toys ready for the children that visit him at the Pond that day.
Come along as a family and meet Santa Claus, Mrs Claus and the elves who will be busy helping on the day.
Each child will receive a Christmas parcel from Santa, the cost per child is €10. Children will get a hot chocolate drink and a gingerbread man that they will have iced themselves. The adults will receive a mince pie and mulled wine FREE of charge.
Please make sure to take your camera or phone to take your own family photos with Santa Claus and our "Big Bear" who is visiting for the day. Big Bear is almost six foot tall and is 30 years old....we kid you not!!!.
NO BOOKING necessary as it is on a first come first to see Santa Claus basis (families will get a numbered ticket on arrival for admittance to the Claus family cave. What we can say though (based on previous years experience) is that the earlier you come the less waiting time you have.
You can enjoy the festive food that you can purchase at The Dairy Maid Coffee Shop while you wait or after your visit. All food is home cooked every day. Home made brown bread and Vegetable Soup, Selection of Sandwiches, home cooked desserts etc., Oh....and car parking is FREE on the day (barrier will be lifted throughout the day.
So come along as a family and enjoy a real community festive Christmas at Stephenstown Pond. Where else would you go walking after all the magic of meeting Santa Claus only round the wonderful tranquil setting of Stephenstown Pond where you will see all species of wildlife....including the swans and who knows but you might just meet Rudolph or one of Santa's other Reindeer as they fill up on good fresh grass and hay getting ready for their hard work with Santa over the Christmas time.
So please do come along this Saturday 9th December anytime between 11am and 4.30pm to meet Santa Claus, Mrs Claus and the elves. Arrival of Santa is at 11am.
