300 Jobs coming to Dundalk

UK company Wasdell, which provides pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries with solutions to outsourcing needs, is to open a hub in Dundalk for servicing the European market post-Brexit, it has been announced today.

The new hub will bring 300 jobs to Dundalk over a number of years and represents a €50m investment.

Wasdell was established in 1971, and has multiple sites in the United Kingdom employing over 500 people.

The group offers an impressive range of technical, manufacturing, packaging and storage/distribution services.

According to the company's website, its mission is to provide a comprehensive and outstanding service that exceeds its customers’ manufacturing, packaging and logistical requirements and become the preferred outsourcing partner to the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries.

Roles in Wasdell’s new manufacturing plant in Dundalk will include: general management, QA/QC including QPs, production manager and supervisors, laboratory, engineering and maintenance, production operatives, warehouse, finance and administration, health & safety and human resources.
