YapStone, an online payment service provider, has announced a plan to create 200 new tech jobs with a €41 million investment in Co Louth.
The announcement is a huge economic boost for Co Louth as many of the jobs being created are high level, engineering based jobs.
"YapStone is highly regarded worldwide and is listed on the INC 5000 List of Fastest Growing Companies, The Deloitte Fast 500, The San Francisco Business Times Top 50, and the 2018 Wealthfront Career-Launching Companies List,” said Louth Fine Gael TD, Fergus O'Dowd.
“I'm delighted that YapStone has backed Drogheda and County Louth and its talent pool in such strong fashion.”
Mr O'Dowd added: "Recently I brought An Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar, to Drogheda and as part of that visit I arranged for him to visit The Mill where he met with EVP, International and Global Customer Support of YapStone, Pete Rowan, amongst many other local business people.”
“The Mill showcased the proposed M1 Payment Corridor which I have been supporting for some time now.
“The Fintech arena is certainly one that Drogheda and County Louth can capitalise on and I hope that this endorsement from YapStone will further the expansion and re-location of more Fintech companies in the near future.”
