Dundalk businessman and travel industry expert Clem Walshe has relaunched marketing company localmarketing.ie with a new look website and logo.
In partnership with Siobhain Mulholland, another travel industry expert from Dundalk, the combined experience of both lends a wealth of travel industry experience to the company and its clients.
Clem previously held a senior marketing role with discount travel firm Budget Travel and went on to become Managing Director of lowcostholidays.ie, receiving a Best Use of Social Media Award for two consecutive years in 2014/2015 from the travel industry media.
Similarly Siobhain comes from the same background in Centre travel and Budget Travel before moving on to the Garda Holiday and Travel Club as General Manager.
Mr Walshe says he hopes to bring a wealth of industry knowledge along with a lengthy list of contacts to his clients both local and international. Although he has a strong background in the Irish travel industry he added the service he offers through localmarketing.ie is not specific to that industry alone and can be applied to many areas of the services industries.
“While the background is travel based, we found businesses coming to us that aren’t necessarily in the travel industry. Those in any services industry seem to want talk to us about marketing a particular product or about customer service.”
Building “bespoke solutions” to meet the demands of his clients is fundamental to small and medium businesses that reach out to him. With a number of resources available, he said he hopes his clients can reduce their level of investment with greater returns.
“I think the big challenge that small and medium size business owners have, is that they try and take the stuff on themselves. You find there is a lot of stress involved with that and something will suffer.”
He added, “I think these businesses misinterpret what is involved.
“We’ve had big names in the travel industry as well as IT companies come to us for advice.”
A full list of services available can be found online at www.localmarketing.ie and on the company Facebook and Twitter pages.
