STATSports have been confirmed as the new sponsors of Louth GAA, the local company agreeing a three-year deal which was announced in Darver last Thursday night.

The sponsorship will cover each of Louth’s respective inter county hurling and football teams at senior, U21, minor and junior level.

With offices based locally in Dundalk and Newry, and globally in Chicago and Florida, STATSports has grown to become the world-leader in GPS player tracking and analysis provider in elite sports.

Speaking at the unveiling of the new sponsor, Louth County Board Chairman, Des Halpenny stated: “I am delighted to welcome STATSports into the Louth GAA family as our new county sponsors.

“We are looking forward to working with a progressive, global company who are at the forefront of sports science technology. This is a great fit for Louth GAA where we are continually striving to improve and enhance the all round development of our players.

“In an uncertain time in the financial world, it is a great recognition of business success in the county that we have a highly successful locally based company flying the flag for Co Louth.

“I look forward to a mutually beneficial partnership between both parties and a bright future.”

STATSports co-founder, Sean O’Connor, attended the launch and he outlined his company’s perspective.

“We are proud to be able to assist with the promotion of Gaelic Games within Co Louth and beyond. Gaelic Games have been a part of STATSports’ growth from its early days, and as such, we are delighted to be able to contribute to the development within our local county.

“We look forward to the partnership, both on and off the field, over the coming years, in the hope, that in some way, we can play our part in bringing about some success”.

STATSports replace former sponsors, Morgan Fuels, who ended their four-year spell in 2016.
