The Wee County came in near the lower end of the table in 18th place, with 125,000 visitors to the county, in a survey co-ordinated by The Independent using figures obtained from Fáilte Ireland's Survey of Overseas Travellers.
Louth finished ahead of Westmeath and Monaghan, but unfortunately just one place behind our dear neighbours Meath.

In total Louth earned €36m in revenue from overseas tourism.
