Now in its fourth year, the Hooley Around Cooley Cycle commences at the Craobh Rua Clubrooms (on Highstreet Hill, close to Bessbrook Mill Complex & the Community Centre) with registration beginning at 9am and the Cycle starts at 10am on Sunday the 25th of September.
The course takes the cyclist into Newry past the Quays Shopping Centre towards Omeath and Carlingford. There will be a "pit stop" at the Lumpers in Ravensdale, then it's on through Ravensdale, Flurrybridge into Meigh village and home run to Camlough village, past Dans Bar and back to the Club Rooms for well-earned refreshments.
Over a hundred cyclists participated last year and all thoroughly enjoyed it. Entrance fee is £10 with any funds made going to Craobh Rua to help continue our work with developing the game of hurling within the community. The Craobh Rua committee appreciate the continued support of The Quays Newry, Peter Quinn and Euro Services, BCC Camloch and all our local Cycling Clubs and Hurling Club members.
