THERE will be fun for all the family at O’Neill’s Garden Centre, Willville, Carlingford on Saturday 10th of September. This free event will run from 10am till 4pm with face painting, farmers market and much, much more.
Organiser Gearoid O’Neill said,
“We will have a local food producers market, visitors can pick their own strawberries, there will be a display of our horticultural machines and our coffee shop will be open. It’s a family friendly day. Kids have room to roam in a safe environment, see fruit and veg growing, and they can even pick their own pumpkins which is pretty unique in Ireland”.
“There will also be face painting, visiting our free range hens, and getting their photo taken on our mini tractors. There is plenty room for parents and children to roam and be entertained, we are have 5 acres of ground to roam. Both indoor and outdoor so we are not overly limited with the weather. And for the adults were have an onsite Coffee shop, approximately 15 foody stalls (from chocolates to cheese)”.
“We had a very fun house last year (so much so we’re extended our carpark) so we’re expecting a bigger crowd this year. If anyone would like to enter a stall please contact me at Gearoid@oneillsflowers.ie or 042 9376977”.
And for gardeners there will be advice and seasonal plants,
“Autumn approaching there is much for a gardener to do, Autumn is all about tidying up the garden and getting the autumn bulbs in, starting to think about hedging and perhaps some winter/spring veg plants. Our garden centre will be open and we will be on hand with advice for the large and small gardener’.
And for the cut flower lover there is plenty to see,
“We import directly from around the world, we specialise in Wedding flowers (we’ve done 100’s if not 1000’s over the years) and occasional flowers such as funeral, birthdays, anniversaries etc. Loads of photos and further info on our website, www.oneillsflowers.ie
