St Vincent's 'thrilled' with Leaving results

Deputy principal of St Vincent's Secondary School in Dundalk, Deirdre Matthews was 'thrilled' with the standard of Leaving Cert results at the school this morning.

“Nearly half got 400 points or over, which is a fantastic achievement,” she stated.

“We also have 32 students who got over 500 points and there were 18 As in English alone.

“One of our highest marks went to Aine Kelly who got 590 points and will be doing medicine in college.”

Ms Matthews stated that the high standard of the results this year has been similar to previous years and is a great reflection on the hard work of the students and staff at the school.
